Elvis Costello , stage name of Declan Patrick Aloysius MacManus ( London, August 25 of 1954) is a singer , composer and musician British . He was an early participant in the pub rock scene British in the mid 70's , and was later associated styles from punk rock new wave and before establishing himself as a unique and original voice in 80 years . The musical range is impressively wide. One critic wrote that "Costello, the pop encyclopedia, can reinvent the past in his own image."
